Dear Stein!

       At Baden people charge 34 gulden a month for a wretched piano.  I consider that to pay that sum amounts to throwing money out of the window – If you could only spare one of the people whom you have at your place, that would soon be remedied.  I would certainly pay him well!

       Be sure to bring the mattresses with you!  I think that on these and some straw my instrument could, after all, be brought safely to Baden.  Kindly let me have your opinion.  I am now going off to Baden on the 13th of this month.  I shall have the pleasure of seeing you again.
